About the Presenter:
Dr. Antognoni is at present senior staff radiation oncologist at the Department of Radiation Oncology, Policlinico University Hospital in Modena, Italy. Board-certified in Italy (University of Milan School of Medicine) in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology (1984) and in Oncology (1987). He is full member of ESTRO and ASTRO. In 1992 and 1995 he was official visiting scientist and UICC Fellow at the Department of Experimental Radiation Oncology of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer in Houston, TX. In 1998 he was official visiting scientist at the Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology of the University of Chicago, IL. Dr. Antognoni is the author or co-author of more than 120 publications (original papers, book chapters, congress abstracts)dealing with various Radiation Oncology topics, and particularly Radiobiology predictive assays and cell kinetics, Head & Neck hyperfractionated radiotherapy, 3D-CRT prostate cancer radiotherapy quality controls.
