Results:
The mean value for systematic interfractional setup errors of all the landmarks ranged within 1 mm along any directions. The standard deviation (SD) of the systematic set-up errors ( -INTER) distributed with a range of 0.7 to1.3 mm. The average of the SDs of the individual random interfractional set-up errors ( -INTER) ranged from 0.7 to 1.6 mm. The mean value for systematic interfractional organ motion errors of all the landmarks ranged within 0.5 mm along any directions. The SD of the systematic intrafractional organ motion errors ( -intra) distributed with a range of 0.2 to 0.8 mm. The average of the SD of the individual random intrafractional organ motion errors ( -intra) ranged from 0.3 to 0.6 mm. Using an equation of [PTV-margin = 2 + 0.7 ], the estimated appropriate PTV-margins for all the bony landmarks ranged from 2.0 to 3.6 mm.
